On Thursday 29 July Philip Warford is speaking to families and carers at the Carers Centre in Brighton and Hove via Zoom. Philip will talk about how families can protect a disabled person if they are no longer there to care for them using carefully prepared Wills and Trusts.

The Carers Centre has been operating since 1988, and have been helping family carers with support, advice and a well-deserved break from their caring role.

Although many people already have a standard Will in place, they often don’t realise that leaving a cash sum to a disabled person could impact their entitlement to means tested benefits or put the disabled person at risk of financial abuse. Philip will talk through the Trust options available to families to ensure their vulnerable loved one is protected throughout their lifetime, and their entitlement to benefits are safeguarded.
