Decision Making Webinar (May)

Wednesday 19 May 2021

Philip Warford will talk to parents and carers via a Zoom webinar about what the future holds when their child reaches 18. The fundamental principle is that no one has the right to make decisions on behalf of a person when they become an adult. The reality of this is not so clear cut. This free information event is a great way to gain a better understanding of decision making when a loved one’s capacity may be questioned.

Philip will begin by explaining the key principles of the Mental Capacity Act. He will then talk about Lasting Powers of Attorney, including when and how they might be used, and lastly he will cover the Court of Protection, what it is and when you might need it.

At the end of the presentation there is an opportunity to ask Philip questions during the Q&A.
