On Wednesday 3rd November Philip Warford is speaking at Mencap’s Planning for the Future Seminar via Zoom.

The Wills and Trust Service Mencap provides, helps families with the important task of providing financial stability for their child’s future. Mencap help parents through their offer of free and impartial advice on Wills and Trusts specifically for disabled and vulnerable people. This includes free webinars in various locations across the UK (currently all taking place via Zoom). To give clear and helpful advice on how best to provide financial security for a relative with a learning disability.

Philip will explain how a Trust can be a useful tool to help manage funds for a disabled or vulnerable person throughout their lifetime. How setting up a Trust will protect their vulnerability and any potential financial abuse; Allow the assets to be managed by people you choose; and to protect their entitlement to means tested benefits and support in the future.
