Parents in Partnership Seminar 20th March 2019
PIP (Parents in Partnership) offer support for parents whose children and young people have additional needs and disabilities. Formed in 1992, their aim is to find out about the services available to families of children with additional needs and disabilities and to influence decision makers within the local authority, as to the services that would be most beneficial to families like themselves.
This 20th March 2019 Philip Warford is speaking to families and carers at PIP in East Croydon, Surrey on Wills & Trusts.
At this event, Philip, who specialises in this complex area of law, will help you to understand the options available to you, and answer any questions you may have.
Among the topics, this seminar will cover:
Philip will talk about how families can provide for a disabled child if they are no longer there to care for them using Wills and Trusts.
Although many people will already have Wills in place, a Will has the potential to cause financial difficulties for a person with additional needs. For example, by leaving a cash sum to a disabled person, it could impact their entitlement to means tested benefits, now or in the future.
Philip will present the options available to parents to ensure their vulnerable child is protected throughout their lifetime and their entitlement to benefits are safeguarded.
